The Human Layer
Much of my work is informed by years spent traveling and living on the road. This shapes how I approach stories about place, access, and the relationship between people and the outdoors. It’s a lived perspective that adds depth without overshadowing the reporting. The results of this are engaging stories that drive readers to stay engaged and come back for more.

My Background
I have been a CPDT-KA certified professional dog trainer for 30 years. My experience as a dog trainer gave me a diverse knowledge about dogs and their humans.
However, I’ve also developed the ability to explain just about anything to anybody, in language that works for them. I have organized courses and created lesson plans. My experience in business gives me a great knowledge of results oriented digital marketing and website creation. I know how to research SEO, and
I am proud to have been one of the first female professional firefighters in my community. Even though I am now retired, I still maintain a keen interest in fire safety, first aid and emergency management procedures.

Now
Covid made many people slow down and re-evaluate our lives. I was no exception to this. As the Covid crisis continued, I decided that travelling across Canada and the US in my RV was the road I wanted to take.
Writing, photography and digital marketing have always been my passion and I am happy that I am able to share these talents with businesses in the US and Canada.
